Support Kidspace for All

Kidspace for All is everything we do on a daily basis.  We believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn through play and build 21st century skills including critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and citizenship. We make it a priority to ensure that all children and their families, regardless of family income, background, or ability, are able to access the museum.

Of the 355,000 guests served in 2016, nearly 60,000 guests represent low-income, underserved communities.  These children and families were able to visit the museum through a variety of access programs and events.

Some of the programs we offer through Kidspace for All include:

  • Discounted admission for families who show their EBT card
  • Discounted admission for veterans and their families – and free admission on Veterans Day
  • Free Family Nights (every month except September)
  • Kidspace camp scholarships
  • Special events for families with special needs
  • Kidspace on the Road outreach presentations and events throughout the community
  • Free field trips, such as My Masterpieces, for Title 1 schools
  • Reduced cost field trips for students from Title 1 schools, which include passes for students to return to the museum with a parent

Admissions, memberships, and other revenue sources cover only 75% of the museum’s operating expenses.  Annual Fund support received from individuals, corporations, and foundations provides the resources necessary to close the funding gap.
