  • AxS Festival 2014
    September 19 to October 5 - Kidspace is a proud partner of this citywide festival celebrating the convergence of art and science. Over the course of this 17-day festival, Kidspace highlights the theme of the festival, Curiosity, with an exploration of the art and science of flight. Guests are invited to investigate Newton’s third law with stomp rockets, experiment with paper airplanes, and explore the principles of flight with kite creation and more during each day of the festival.
  • Free Family Night
    Tuesday, October 7, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm - Explore legends and myths of different cultures with constellation creation, mythological monster mug shots, and monster mouth making! Enjoy a sleight-of-hand magic show at 6:30pm in the Stone Hollow Amphitheater. Halloween costumes are encouraged! Admission is free from 4:00 to 8:00pm.
  • ArtNight Pasadena
    Friday, October 10, 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm - Join Kidspace for a night of interactive, hands-on excitement in celebration of nature and art. Enjoy a singing workshop with the Los Angeles Children's Chorus and a bubble artist in the Stone Hollow Amphitheater. Paint with moss, dye flowers, and explore the world of sun prints. Admission is free for ArtNight attendees from 6:00 to 10:00 pm.
  • 20th Annual Kidspace Pumpkin Festival
    Saturday & Sunday, October 18 & 19, 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, each day - The Circle of Friends proudly presents a family-friendly event that is fun for all ages and will take place directly in front of Kidspace. Activities will include a petting zoo, pony rides, bouncers, carnival games, and seasonal crafts. Partake in a costume parade, enjoy face painting, and pick out pumpkins from our pumpkin patch. There will also be a book and costume sale, and tasty picnic treats. Festival admission is free, as well as live music and performances, and selected crafts. Tickets are available for puchase to enjoy food and other festival attractions. All proceeds benefit Kidspace Children's Museum.
  • Halloween Hunt
    Sunday, October 26, 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 1:00 pm, & 2:00 pm - Trick-or-Treat at Kidspace! Costumed characters throughout the Gardens will be waiting to hand out treats to your little ghosts and goblins! Enjoy Halloween themed activities, such as face painting, mask making, autumn leaf crowns, and the weird science of plasma balls. The gardens will be closed for the hunt until 3pm. Hunt fee is $4 per child in addition to regular museum admission. Space is limited! Registration is now open.   • Free Family Night
    Tuesday, November 4, 4:00 to 8:00 pm - Celebrate California’s native cultures during Free Family Night in November. Grind rocks to make paint and use it to create Chumash-inspired cave paintings, explore native instruments and music, and enjoy Native American storytelling in the Celebration Center at 6:30 pm. Free Family Night is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, the Michael J. Connell Foundation, and the City of Pasadena Arts & Culture Commission. Admission is free from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
  • Homeschool Days
    Wednesday & Thursday, November 12 & 13, 9:45 am, 11:00 am, and 12:00 pm - Join other homeschoolers for one of Kidspace’s signature Discovery Programs. The $10 fee includes admission to the museum and participation in the 45 minute Discovery Program. Choose from three different programs: Art, Physics, and Life Science. There is no minimum required for attendance and you can sign up for more than one program. Learn More.
  • California Native Cultures Day
    Sunday, November 16, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm - California has a rich cultural history with an impressive diversity of native cultures, ranging from the Wintu of Northern California to the Gabrielinos of the Los Angeles area. Join Kidspace in celebration of these creative people through a day of music, food, storytelling by Journeys to the Past, weaving, and more!
  • Holiday MADness – Member Appreciation Days
    Saturday & Sunday, November 29 & 30 - Use your museum membership to get your holiday shopping started! Receive 20% off merchandise in the Busy Bee Learning Store all weekend and a free gift with purchase over $50. Also, visit participating museums for free and enjoy 20% off at their stores!   • Free Family Night
    Tuesday, December 2, 4:00 to 8:00 pm - Explore the art and history of the puppet, make shadow puppets, learn the science behind puppetry, and create a bag puppet. Enjoy a performance by the Bob Baker Marionettes at 6:30pm. Free Family Night is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, the Michael J. Connell Foundation, and the City of Pasadena Arts & Culture Commission. Admission is free from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
  • Snow Days
    Friday, December 26 through Tuesday, December 30 - Break out your mittens, boots, and snow hat for a day of winter wonderland fun! Play in real snow, make snow angels and snowmen, and perfect your snowball making skills. Check out live performances each day and discover the science of snow.
  • Noon Year's Eve
    Wednesday, December 31, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm - Ring in the “Noon” year at Kidspace with live music, streamers, sparkling cider, and a balloon drop as we celebrate the end of 2014 and beginning of 2015. Arrive early to make party hats and noisemakers, dance to the music of Clint Perry and the Boohoo Crew performing 11:30 am, and countdown to the “noon” year at 12:00 pm. Please plan to arrive early to ensure your child’s participation in the countdown, as admission lines get very long as we approach 12:00 noon.
