Welcome to the wonderful world of Kidspace Summer Camps!  We have an exciting lineup of programs this year that promise to transport your child to a world of exploration and adventure, where they will create lasting memories. CAMP DESCRIPTIONS & DATES

GLOBAL ADVENTURE CAMP

June 8th-12th

Travel the world at Kidspace through customs, food, dance and architecture of cultures near and far. Step into the shoes of children from the Middle East, South America, Asia and more by playing their games, creating their art, cooking their food, making their music and getting a feel for what is important to them. Finally we will consider how cultures around the world are changing and how we are part of that future.

INVENTORS CAMP

JUNE 15th-19th

What does it take to invent a machine that changes the world around us?  At this camp we delve into the world of invention. Starting from the ground up we will discover tools and technologies that can make ideas come to life. Learn about some of the inventors and creations that shaped our modern world.  Build, play, and have fun as we face wacky challenges, invent our way out of them and, on the way, discover the creative genius inside of us all.

LITTLE LEARNERS CAMP

JUNE 22nd-26th   

Calling all 4 & 5 year olds!  Little Learners is a camp designed exclusively for children ages 4 and 5, and was created due to guests expressing a great need for but low offering of camps for this age group.  In what will likely be your child’s first camp experience, Little Learners Camp will take campers on a different adventure each day.  They will plant their own crops and develop intimacy with nature, create their own art and indulge in the joys of getting messy, play in water and learn about where it comes from, dress up as their favorite animal and meet some of Kidspace’s live critters, and work together to set up a “campsite” that will be the epicenter of their camp adventure.  Filled will wonderful opportunities for imaginative play, this camp promises to instill wonder and a love for camp in your little learner.

DIGGING DEEPER CAMP

July 6th-10th

Step into the worlds of paleontology and archaeology in this exciting new camp!  From mummies to dinosaurs, we will be uncovering the mysteries of the past.  Campers will embark upon digs to learn about the tools and techniques scientists use in the field, make and erupt their own volcanoes, build pyramids, excavate and identify fossils and artifacts, and draw conclusions about the past based on what they find!  Finally, we will make and bury our own 2015 camp time capsule!

AMAZING ART CAMP

July 13th-17th

Come find your inner artist!  We will learn about the different materials that make art and why they are used, try our hands at sculpture, and even make some pigments of our own!  Campers will be free to create to their hearts' content while gaining an appreciation for why art is important, and will engage in games and projects that tie STEAM topics together!  This camp is designed for all skill levels.

WATER WONDERS CAMP

July 27th-31st

Let's get wet!  Campers will be exploring and playing with water in this physically engaging, problem solving, and laugh out loud wet adventure.  After water based art projeects, ice sculptures, water testing, and exploring the water cycle, campers will be sent home a lot wetter than they came.  So get suited up and ready to soak up some fun, friendship, and soggy memories!

JPL OUTER SPACE CAMP

August 3rd-7th

Journey into outer space with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory! Led in part by specialists from JPL, kids will explore the environments and atmosphere of outer space and create their own imaginary place in space with activities such as rocket launching, walking on the solar system, making a “universe in a jar," and creating olive oil constellations. Kids will also learn what food and equipment an astronaut takes into space by packing for their own space mission!

* All camps are designed for children ages 5 to 9 years old, with the exception of the "Little Learners" camp.  Children must meet the age requirements in order to enroll in and remain in camp.  

CAMP SESSIONS & FEES

Full-Day Session - 9:00 am to 5:00 pm: $425 per week; $95 per individual day
Morning Session - 9:00 am to 1:00 pm: $250 per week; $60 per individual day
Afternoon Session - 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm: $250 per week; $60 per individual day

What to Bring
  1. Full-Day campers must bring a lunch with him or her each day. If you would like to purchase lunch for your child you may do so at the beginning of camp. Healthy snacks are provided by Kidspace during camp sessions.
  2. Please have your child wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes. Please be prepared to send your child with a change of clothes and a towel as we might get wet!
  3. Be sure to have your child wear sunscreen as we have the opportunity to leave the camp space every so often for outdoor activities and lunch time play.
