This 8-week class is designed for caregivers (parents, nannies, family members) and their toddlers to explore science and art activities. Children will learn social interaction, literacy with story time and physical development with active play. Fee is $135 per child for Kidspace members; $150 per child for non-members.

On your mark, get set, pupate!  It is time again to witness the magic of metamorphosis at Kidspace.  Starting this weekend you can adopt your own live caterpillar and get a caterpillar care kit at the Busy Bee Learning Store for only $4.  Then watch as your adoptee grows, changes into a chrysalis and then emerges as an adult Painted Lady Butterfly in the habitat you design.  You can learn more about the life cycle of a butterfly and bring a shoebox to build your caterpillar habitat in the Nature Exchange during the adoption days.  Be sure to bring your butterfly back to Kidspace during the weekend of April 21 and 22 for the Annual Grand Butterfly Release.

Come experience this engaging Girl Scout workshop to learn more about how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly.The hands-on activities will earn you a patch! You can sign up as an individual or with your whole troop! EACH PARTICIPATING GIRL SCOUT WILL NEED TO BRING AN EMPTY SHOE BOX FOR ONE OF THE ACTIVITIES.

Explore principles such as weight, lift, thrust, and drag with Kidspace’s flight workshop. We will build three flying toys for you to take home and play with. For ages seven and up. 

All children must be accompanied by an adult and $7 fee is in addition to Museum admission.
