On Sunday, April 2, Kidspace and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles will come together to co-host 800 of CHLA’s Newborn & Infant Critical Care Unit (NICCU) graduates and their families for an evening of play, fun, and laughter.

Children and families who have spent time in CHLA’s NICCU have been through a great ordeal, and often their early years involve follow-up appointments and further treatment after they graduate from the unit. Now it’s time to play at Kidspace!

The reunion, which is free to CHLA NICCU families, includes dinner and kid-driven activities in celebration of lives saved by our local children’s hospital which provides critical care for newborns and infants transferred from neonatal intensive care units in California, and throughout the Southwest.

This event will bring together NICCU graduates and their families with the physicians and nurses who cared for them during the critical early days, weeks, and months overcoming great odds in the unit. Kidspace is an engaging, interactive place for the NICCU families and those who provided care to reminisce, catch up, and spend quality time together.

The theme of the NICCU Reunion is butterflies and each NICCU family will be given a butterfly to take home, where they will release it into the world as a symbol of their journey to health.

Your support will help both CHLA and Kidspace to create hope and build healthier futures by nurturing the potential of all children. This partnership between CHLA and Kidspace is a unique opportunity to simultaneously support two beloved institutions that play such a critical role in the health, well-being, enrichment, and education of children in our community.
