THUMBS UP! for Kidspace

Did you hear the news?  Kidspace is very close to completing the Campaign for the Future of Kidspace, which has been transforming the campus for the last four years.

We are calling on you to help us cross the finish line!

Together, we can raise the monies needed to open the Storyteller Studio in the Roberts Pavilion this fall, providing a creative space for story-telling, dramatic play, puppetry, and visual arts.  And, in the spring, Kirby’s Kids Corner will become Kidspace Campground, an area which will promote outdoor camping activities and national parks.

Here's how you can participate.

  1. THUMB ART – Visit the Greenhouse in August and add your thumbprint to our collaborative art piece(s).  Take the opportunity to make a donation when you are here.  Please help us fill the collection box!
  2. COLLECT CHANGE – Bring your pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters to Kidspace!  Our new Spiral Wishing Well is waiting for YOU at the base of the S. Mark Taper Climbing Towers.  Guests LOVE watching their coins swirl around until they vanish into the well.
  3. CLICK HERE – to make an online donation in support of our Campaign for the Future of Kidspace.  No gift is too big or too small!

Every dollar and every penny collected will be MATCHED by the GGE Foundation's Challenge Grant.

Kidspace brings science, engineering, nature and art together in an environment that promotes curiosity, understanding, appreciation and creativity.  The kid-driven activities provide unique experiences each time a child visits the campus.  Our youngest guests beam with pride when they learn something new, build with materials, conquer a challenge, or create a masterpiece.
