As part of Kidspace's STEAMing Through Summer initiative, Kidspace is hosting the Kidspace Book Club. The Book Club is a space where participants can read books and share books that they love. To participate all you have to do is read a book, then tell us about your book however you like. For a list of recommended reading for each week of book club you can check out Pasadena Public Library's Kidspace Book Club Reading List here.

If you share your book at Kidspace you can earn a cool button. My college Anne has made a list of all the cool ways you can share a book. technology week of Book Club I chose to a share a favorite book of min "Ada Lovelace, Poet of Science". Taking a cue from Anne's list, I chose to share my book by "dressing up a favorite toy like a character from the book." Using a doll I borrowed from my niece, I made a costume based on a real-life portrait of Ada Lovelace. If you would like to try your hand at making a Ada Lovelace costume yourself, you can find the instructions below.*

If you would like to make your own book share or learn more about KIdspace book club, check out the Book Club page or come to Kidspace any weekend until August 5th to check out the Book Club for yourself.
