Sunday, February 14 at 9:30AM Kidspace Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony Celebrate National Heart Health Month and honor the 2010 Winter Olympics. Register for $35 per child to help carry the "torch" from Brookside Park to Kidspace Children's Museum to kick off the Kidspace Winter Olympics. Limited to 15 children. Registration donation includes a t-shirt, medal and photo for each participant. Register now. We encourage children to request donations to help pay for their registration fee as the money will go to support the Museum in providing learning opportunities for underserved students. February 14-21 Kidspace Winter Olympics Event 1, 10:30AM daily: the drinking straw race. Each racer must hold a drinking straw between his or her nose and upper lip, then run to the finish line without losing the staw. Event 2, 11:30AM daily: the dinosaur race. Event 3, 1PM daily: ice relay. Each racer must balance an ice cube on a spoon and be able to transfer the ice to a teammate who then runs to the finish line. Event 4, ongoing daily: trike track race. Each racer gets a timed lap around the trike tracks, with each day's top times presented daily at 1pm. The fastest kids will recieve a free pass to return for the Kidspace Olympics Closing Ceremony. All free with admission.

Sunday, February 21 from 2PM-3PM Kidspace Winter Olympics Closing Ceremonies All event winners are invited to walk in a parade to show off their Olympics medals. Torch carriers also return and the top trike track race winners will be announced. Kids can make ribbon wands to use in the parade from 10AM-2PM. Free with admission. |
