PRICE
$8
Description:
Clay is a natural earthy material that is plastic when wet, consisting essentially of hydrated silicates of aluminum, and an excellent material for creating art! But where does clay come from and how many ways can you use it to create art? We will learn about the many artistic qualities of this flexible material and literally get our hands dirty while we create! We will experiment with the different properties of clay, from creating a “clay slip”, to making designs with liquid clay on paper. You’ll also have the opportunity to continue the clay-play at home by painting your earthen masterpiece! Take the materials you need to create MORE art at home. Workshop fee is $8.00 in addition to regular Museum admission.
