A Daily Walk

Going on a walk has become my favorite part of the day as we continue to stay safer at home. Moods are immediately improved and my two boys and I appreciate the chance to get fresh air, a change of scenery, and our wiggles out.

My 4 year old and I have started finding fun ways to spruce up our walks. I taught him the classic I-Spy game and we’ll go back and forth while my one year old tries to summon any animal he sees to him. The squirrels just look too cuddly.

Ask Kidspace! Carnivorous Plants

Hey there, my name is Rachel Masters. I am the Nature Programs Specialist here at Kidspace. This month for Ask Kidspace, I am super excited to be answering questions aboutsome of my favorite plants.

Kristina, Mikey, and Allison all want to know “why carnivorous plants eat bugs?” Stephen and Benjamin are wondering what carnivorous plants eat, and Cassandra asked “How long can a pitcher plant live.”

October in the Nature Exchange

This month in the Nature Exchange, we are exploring some animals with spooky names. Discover just how cool these animals are by doing a “Spooky Animal Profile” to pick a special trade from the witches brew…if you dare.

Our little learners can explore the many different shapes, textures, and colors of gourds in the Early Learner Corner.
