Early Learners Camps

Ages 4 - 5
Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 12:30pm

Aftercare is not available for these camps.

Join us for camps designed just for little learners! In this first-camp experience, we'll explore Kidspace to play, imagine and learn while practicing being away from home and making new friends. Check out the four different themes:

We love bugs! Join us in exploring what a bug is, where they live and what they do. We will even get some close up encounters and meet some of the bugs that live here at Kidspace!

Digging for Dinosaurs

Ages 5 - 9

What is a paleontologist and what exactly do they do? Come find out with us this summer! We’ll explore what paleontologists do, where they work and what tools they use while searching for fossils. We’ll dig deeper into how a fossil is made, the different types of fossils and what information paleontologists can learn from them.

Physics Past to Present

Ages 5 - 9

Have you ever wondered why a baseball flies a certain way when it’s hit, how to shoot the perfect basket or why throwing a football in a spiral makes a difference? It’s all Physics! This summer we will explore energy, force and motion to see how they affect things we do every day. We will look at who discovered these concepts, how they influence the activities we love like sports and dance and how athletes use them to their advantage.

Ancient Art

Ages 5 - 9

Experience how art began! This summer we will explore how art has changed from the Stone Age through the Middle Ages. We will look at how nature and science have influenced art around the world. We will use the mediums and techniques of ancient artists. From cave paintings and pyramids to building arches and making mosaics; we’ll explore the world through the eyes of artists who came before us.

Hanging Around with Bob Baker Marionette Theater

Ages 5 - 9
Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 3:00pm

Join us for a week of puppets and play with Kidspace and the Bob Baker Marionette Theater! Campers will enjoy live performances, learn how to construct and perform with puppets, and work together to create a show that will be presented in the Kidspace Stone Hollow Amphitheater on the final day of camp. This camp is presented in partnership with Bob Baker Marionette Theater and their ongoing mission to educate, celebrate and rejuvenate puppetry and the allied arts.

Space Explorers: Back to the Moon

Ages 5 - 9
Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 3:00pm

Aftercare available  3:00 - 5:45pm

This year is the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing! Come join us in taking a closer look at our moon and how our astronauts got there. We'll learn about what a shuttles needs to escape Earth's gravitational pull, take a closer look at the moon's surface and simulate our own mission control and moon landing!

Registration

 
  • In addition to the registration above, each camper must have an online camper form completed no later than the Wednesday before camp begins. 
  • A parent or guardian must be present at drop off on the first day of camp to wet-sign the camper registration sheet. 
  • Cancellations are required no later than the Thursday before the first day of camp for a full refund. 
  • Discounts for partially attended weeks are not available.
  • The camp fee covers one week of camp.
  • Aftercare is a flat fee of $75 for the entire week and is not eligible for a member discount. AFTER CARE IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CHILDREN ENROLLED IN CAMPS.

Campers

 
  • For Early Learner Camps, children must be 4 - 5 years old by the first day of camp, and able to use the restroom without direct adult assistance.
  • For full day camps, children must be five years old by the first day of camp.
     

What to Bring!

 
  • Lunch. We will provide snacks each day, but bring a lunch, or order lunch from our cafe using this form. Turn in the completed lunch order form no later than the moring lunch is needed. Note, half-day camps, like Tiny Trekkers, do not require a lunch!
  • Water bottles. Send campers with a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. We'll provide fresh water to refill them with.
  • Camp shirt & comfortable clothes. Wear a Kidspace Camp shirt every day (you can treat it like a smock and wear it over another shirt) and closed-toed shoes.
  • A change of clothes and a towel - we like to get messy at camp, so come prepared!
  • Sunscreen. Our space is primairly outside, so bring hats and wear sunscreen. 
     

Check In & Check Out
 

  • Check In & Out occur inside the museum.
  • Check in begins 15 minutes before the start of camp, except for the first day of the week. The opening day of camp check in opens 30 minutes before the start of camp.
  • Check out begins 15 minutes before the end of camp. If you have purchased Aftercare, campers can be picked up any time between the hours of 3:00 pm - 5:45 pm.  
  • Check out ALWAYS requires a valid ID. Campers will only be released to adults who present valid identification and are listed on the camp registration form.
