Free Family Night

The first Tuesday of the month from 4:00 to 8:00pm is Kidspace's Free Family Night. Admission to the museum is FREE for everyone during these hours only. On these special nights, Kidspace will promote family learning about the arts, while emphasizing the diverse cultures and communities present in Greater Los Angeles. Expect crowds and long admission lines during the spring and summer months. Themed activities will be facilitated between 4:30 and 7:30pm. (Note: There is no Free Family Night in September. A limited number of RSVP tickets are offered to Goldstar members each month, but their quantities do not reflect Kidspace capacity.)

Tuesday, April 2 - Discover Ceramics

Explore Los Angeles through ceramics and discover your inner ceramicist! Make a clay figure and a pinch pot, craft your own ceramic working tools, and enjoy a performance with a plate spinner at 6:00pm in Stone Hollow Amphitheater.

Tuesday, May 7 - Discover Painting

Develop your painting skills as you bring your imagination to life through the many mediums and methods of painting. Participate in art activities specially designed by Cal State LA art education students as they guide us through the expression of the LA experience through painting.

Tuesday, June 4 - Discover Nature Art

Explore and experience the natural world through art. Contribute to the forest of Tree Faces, paint en plein air, and create a wind chime out of natural materials. At 6:00pm in Stone Hollow Amphitheater, percussionist Diana Wallace will demonstrate the music and rhythm in instruments made from natural materials.
