Free Family Night

The first Tuesday of the month from 4:00 to 8:00pm is Kidspace's Free Family Night. Admission to the museum is FREE for everyone during these hours only. On these special nights, Kidspace will promote family learning about the arts, while emphasizing the diverse cultures and communities present in Greater Los Angeles. Expect crowds and long admission lines during the spring and summer months. Themed activities will be facilitated between 4:30 and 7:30pm. (Note: There is no Free Family Night in September. A limited number of RSVP tickets are offered to Goldstar members each month, but their quantities do not reflect Kidspace capacity.)

Tuesday, January 8 - Discovering Folk Art

This month we are exploring folk art, the art of the people! Folk Art can be art specific to a culture, art that is part of a craft or skill, and art made from creative use of available materials. At 6:00 and 7:00pm dance with Teresa Smith as she shares with us the art of folk dance!

Tuesday, February 5 - Discovering Textiles

Learn how textiles are made, create art using textiles, and explore the history of textiles with hands-on activities at Kidspace! See a performance with fabrics at 6:00pm in the Central Courtyard of traditional Chinese ribbon and fan dance.

Tuesday, March 5 - Discovering Puppetry

Kidspace and the Los Angeles Guild of Puppetry are teaming up to make and perform with puppets! Turn yourself into a humanette puppet, create shadow puppets, and learn puppetry skills from professional puppeteers.
