Storyteller Studio

Everyone Has a Story to Tell!

Through dramatic play, storytelling, and art-making, children have the opportunity to express themselves in the Storyteller Studio. This exhibit space is geared toward 3-6 year olds, although younger and older visitors alike will also find the area engaging to spark their creativity.

With four different areas to explore, children can play, learn, express themselves, and join others while moving seamlessly back and forth between acting, drawing and painting, storytelling or puppet play. In the dramatic play area, children can dress up and practice their show in front of the mirror in the dress up corner, and then set the stage with props and our lighted backdrop to put on a performance. If your little one is not quite ready for the big stage, head over to the puppet theater where there's opportunities to create puppet characters and funny scenes. Share stories together in the Reading Nook, where you can snuggle with some one-on-one time and encourage conversation.

Feeling inspired? Head over to the Art Table! Create a masterpiece to take home or put it on display. Also, explore light and color at the light table.
