Membership Policies

March 2020 Update: Kidspace is temporarily closed to the public to help stop the spread of Covid-19. All memberships will be extended to compensate for the time that we are closed to the public. We look forward to seeing your family again soon. Please email with any questions or concerns.

Gift Memberships

You can give the gift of a Kidspace Membership to friends or family for any special occasion or holiday. You may purchase a gift membership online, or Busy Bee Store. Kidspace Gift Memberships begin the day they are purchased. Expiration and start dates cannot be extended, put on hold, or set for a future date. If you would like your Gift Membership to begin on a date other than the purchase date, we recommend purchasing a Kidspace Gift Card, which can be used to purchase a Kidspace Membership. For more details or assistance, please contact the membership coordinator using the information below. [The sale of Kidspace Gift Cards are paused until a reopening date is scheduled.]

Reciprocal Program Policies

The Association of Science Technology Centers (ASTC) Travel Passport Program is valid at participating ASTC reciprocal Science Centers and Museums, for up to four (4) guests. The Science Center or Museum must be located at least 90 miles away from the member museum (Kidspace Children’s Museum), as well as the member’s residence, (distance based on linear radius, not driving distance). A valid and current ID, and Membership Card from the participating Museum are required for entry into Kidspace. Verify participation, as well as any exclusions with the Science Center or Museum you would like to visit ahead of time. Please visit ASTC for a current list of participating venues.

The Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) Reciprocal Network is a voluntary network of ACM member museums that reciprocate discounted admission to one another’s members that hold premium family memberships. Present your valid museum membership card with the Reciprocal Network logo at any of the 200 participating museums to receive 50% off general admission for up to six (6) people including the cardholder. For a list of participating museums, please visit ACM.

ASTC and ACM reciprocal benefits cannot be combined together or with other coupons for admission into Kidspace; only one reciprocal admission benefit will be applied towards admission per visit. Valid ID and current membership card must be presented for entry. These benefits are only valid during regular operating hours, not valid for after-hours special events.

Member Admission Policies

Kidspace Memberships provide FREE admission for up to four family members. Each membership may have three designated adults that may use the Membership. Additional household names can be added for $25 per person, but that does not change the number of designated adults on the membership. Memberships are valid for three, six, or twelve months.

Memberships are for families living within the same household. The cost of a membership may not be split between family and friends. Kidspace Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. Memberships run for the duration of the membership period specified, and begin the day they are purchased. Memberships cannot be placed on hold or extended on a per month basis.

Kidspace Children’s Museum is open for approximately 340 operating days. Please check our website for closure days, adjusted hours of operation for special events, and accommodations for Rose Bowl events. You can find more information on operating hours, holidays and closures on the Admission & Hours page.

Valid ID is always required when using your membership, and the primary adult(s) must check-in for admission on each visit with all family members and guests. All members, and their party, must be present when checking in at the Ticket Booth or Busy Bee Store, and may not be checked in ahead of arrival.

Kidspace is subject to closure during large Rose Bowl events. Please refer to the Guest Notifications on a regular basis for full or early closure dates to plan your visits. Closure dates for these events or for holidays during your membership duration will not extend your expiration date.

Upgrades & Renewals

Kidspace memberships may be upgraded at any time before the Membership expires. Renewal discounts, will not be applied towards upgrades. Members will pay the difference in the price to upgrade. Memberships may not be downgraded to a lower Membership level.

A 15% discount on membership renewals is only valid when purchased on or before the membership's expiration date and cannot be combined with any other promotion.

Other Important Policy Notes

Kidspace Children’s Museum reserves the right to refuse service and/or access, onsite and online, to any individuals that disregard Kidspace policies or are disrespectful of Kidspace guests, staff, exhibits, or property.
