Things To Do in LA: Kidspace in March

 

Free Family Night, Tuesday, March 3, 4:00-8:00pm:

Get in the flow of Art Nouveau, the nature-inspired art style that explores organic shapes and patterns. Special guest presentation begins at 6:00pm. Admission to the museum is free for everyone during these hours only.

 

Baby & Me Infant

4-week session, Thursdays, March5-26, 10:00-11:00am: This 60-minute class will help infants and their caregiver develop the natural curiosity to explore and investigate the new world around them. Through active, hands-on play, learn how to provide infants with the tool to develop social, language, cognitive, and motor skills! For children 6 weeks to 11 months. ArtNight Pasadena, Friday, March 13, 6:00-10:00pm:

Kidspace is excited to participate in the City of Pasadena’s bi-annual event, ArtNight, an evening where Pasadena institutions open their doors for a free evening of art, music, and entertainment. Lean more here.

 

Caterpillar Adoptions, March 14-April 26:

Experience the magic of metamorphosis this spring by adopting a Painted Lady Caterpillar from the Busy Bee Store. Care for your caterpillar until it becomes a butterfly and then release it into nature. Each caterpillar includes food, adoption sheet, and care instructions. While supplies last. Butterfly Celebration, Saturday & Sunday, March 14 & 15, 11:00am-4:00pm:

For Kidspace’s 24th Annual Butterfly Season, rejoice in the power of pollinators with special weekend activities across the museum. Say hello to Kidspace spokesbug characters, Dot & Spot, who will flutter around throughout the day. Join in a special butterfly jamboree with DJ Bree at 1:00pm who will dance guests through the life cycle of the butterfly. Lean more about Butterfly Season here.

 

Family Workshop:

Pollinator Garden, Saturday, March 14 or Sunday, March 15, 4:30-5:30pm: Experience Kidspace’s Butterfly Celebration and stay for the featured Family Workshop! Butterflies, beetles, and bees, oh my! Learn more about what pollinators are, how they help our ecosystems, and what types of plants to grow in gardens to support them! Each family will take home their own pollinator plant. Kidspace Camp

Monday-Friday, March 30-April 3 or April 6-10, 9:00am-3:00pm: 3, 2, 1… launch into spring camp! Campers will explore what space shuttles need to launch and learn about how astronauts prepare themselves for space travel, what type of training is needed, and take a closer look at how shuttles are built using activities developed in collaboration with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. For children ages 5 to 9. Fee is $450 per week of camp. After care is available from 3:00-5:45pm for an additional $75 per week. Learn more about Kidpsace Camps, and register here.

 

Peter Rabbit 2 Character Visit, Sunday, March 29 10:00am-4:00pm:

The lovable rogue is back for Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway! Stop by to meet and take photos with Peter from the upcoming film in theatres April 3 and participate in giveaways throughout the day (while supplies last). For more information, please visit our event page.

 

Kidspace Children’s Museum is located at 480 N. Arroyo Blvd., in Brookside Park, Pasadena, CA on 3.5 acres of both indoor and outdoor, interactive environments. The museum features over 40 hands-on exhibits with daily programs and monthly events for children ages 1 to 10. The mission of Kidspace is to nurture the potential of all children through kid-driven experiences, inspiring them to become joyful, active learners.
