Things to do in LA: Kidspace in October


ArtNight Pasadena, Friday, October 11, 6:00pm-10:00pm:A themed evening where Pasadena arts and cultural institutions open their doors for a free evening of art, music, and entertainment. Explore how fabric can help tell stories or sign-up for a felting workshop. Museum admission will be free during these event hours only.


Kidspace Spooktacular: Monster Mash, Saturday & Sunday, October 12 & 13, 5:30pm-9:00pm: Get your costumes ready for a spooktacular night! Purchase a timed-ticket to enter Arroyo Adventure to meet your Ghost Host and encounter fun and frightful characters as you search for candy and other treats. Dance the night away and show off your costumes with festive costume parades. Don’t miss our spooky, slime station where guests can experience some ooey, gooey ‘Ectoplasm’ sensory play. Guests will become mad scientists as they make a “Franken-Art” project that uses found objects and every day materials to turn them into unique, one-of-a kind monster masterpieces. Event admission will be $14 per guest over age 1 and $10 per member.


Performance on the Frog: Second City Hollywood, Sunday, October 13, 4:00pm: Come by to hone your improv skills and laugh it up with Second City Hollywood.


Pumpkin Festival, Saturday & Sunday, October 19-20, 9:30am-5:00pm: The 25th Annual Pumpkin Festival is a fun family-friendly event for all ages. Activities include a petting zoo, pony rides, bouncers, carnival games, and seasonal crafts. Festival admission is free, as are live music and performances, and select crafts. Tickets are available for purchase to enjoy food and festival attractions. Proceeds benefit Kidspace Children’s Museum.


Halloween, Thursday, October 31, 9:30am-5:00pm: Kidspace welcomes friends and fiends to get a little batty and celebrate Halloween! Come in costume, dance the monster mash, and participate in a parade to show off your Halloween spirit.




Music, Motion, & Math

Sundays, October 6-November 10, 10:00-11:30am for English classes, 1:30pm-3:00pm for Spanish classes: This summer session will focus on practicing pattern and sorting skills like making matches, identifying sets, and recognizing and creating patterns. For children ages 18 to 36 months. Fee is $150 per child and adult pair. For Spanish classes, both Spanish speakers and second language learners welcome! Register online at


Little Learners: Saturday Combo, Saturdays, October 12 & 19, November 9 & 16, December 7 & 14, English classes 10:00-11:00am  Join Kidspace for fun hands-on activities that explore art, nature, and science while Baby & Me Infant, English: Thursday, October 24,Through active, hands-on play learn how to provide infants with the tools to develop social, language, cognitive, and motor skills! For Spanish classes, both Spanish speakers and second language learners welcome! For children 6 weeks to 11 months. Fee is $30 per child and adult pair. Register online at


Kidspace Children's Museum is located at 480 N. Arroyo Blvd., in Brookside Park, Pasadena, CA on 3.5 acres of both indoor and outdoor, interactive environments. The museum features over 40 hands-on exhibits with daily programs and monthly events.
