What to Expect & Site Amenities


Kidspace Children's Museum is temporarily closed to the public.




Kidspace is wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs are available for check-out free of charge at admissions. Service animals specially trained to assist disabled persons are welcome, but please no pets.


Kidspace has gardens full of pollen, a café full of wheat, dairy products, and a real hive full of bees! If anyone in your group has allergies, please be careful, come prepared, and alert Kidspace staff or Bean Sprouts Café if you need any assistance or modifications.


Smoking & Alcohol

Kidspace Children's Museum is a tobacco-free environment. Cigars, pipes, cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, vapor cigarettes, chewing tobacco, or any tobacco related product is strictly prohibited on or around Museum property.  Alcoholic beverages and any controlled substances are not allowed on the premises. Thank you for keeping our children and Kidspace critters healthy.


Attire Recommendation

Water, mud, and sand are elements of Kidspace. Please bring footwear appropriate for getting messy, a towel and a change of clothes for children who may want to enjoy the water, mud or sand exhibits. Swim diapers are recommended when playing in the Arroyo.  All guests, even wet ones, are required to wear shoes and clothing at Kidspace. Also, adult guests must wear socks in Early Childhood Learning Center. If you forget your socks, socks are available from Busy Bee Store for $2, while supplies last.


Scooters & Powered Devices

Scooters, skateboards, inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, as well as other recreational devices such as drones and remote control toys are prohibited.


Accepted Payment

Kidspace accepts cash, traveler's cheques, and major credit cards (VISA, MC, AmEx, Discover) as payment for admission, merchandise, membership, programs, and food/beverages with matching photo ID. UnionPay and JCB cards are accepted through Discover, but must be swiped, sales online will show as an error or declined. EBT Cards cannot be taken as payment, but $3 admission for up to 4 people will be offered with valid EBT cards and matching ID.


Food and Beverage

Visitors are welcome to bring in food and beverages for lunch and picnics. For the safety of visitors and Brookside Park, glass bottles and containers are prohibited. There is also a Café and Store onsite. Please no eating or drinking in our exhibit areas.



Bean Sprouts Café is located to the right upon entering the museum. Enjoy delicious and healthy options for both children and adults from pizzas and cake pops to the famous Grilledzilla!



Kidspace's Busy Bee Store is located to the left upon entering the museum featuring fun and educational products for ages newborn to 12. Limited snacks and drinks are also available. Socks and swim diapers are available for purchase upon request. Admission is not required to shop! Also visit Busy Bee Online for curated, themed packs and book bundles. All purchases support Kidspace Children's Museum.


Parking & Bikes

Free parking is provided in Brookside Park, Lot I has parking for Kidspace, the Aquatic Center, and park baseball/softball fields. Due to regular public traffic in the Rose Bowl area parking lots, Kidspace recommends that you do not leave valuables in plain sight inside vehicles parked in any of the area lots. There are bike racks in Brookeside Park across the driveway from Kidspace. Bikes are not permitted to be stored inside the Kidspace facility while visiting. 


Nursing Areas

Mothers are welcome to nurse children wherever they feel comfortable at Kidspace, however, there are two designated areas that provide more privacy if preferred. There is a chair with curtain in Early Childhood Learning Center and also a Mamava station in Climbing Towers.


Restrooms & Changing Tables

Restrooms are located near Bean Sprouts Café, Kirby’s Kids Corner, and a family restroom in Early Childhood Learning Center. Changing tables are located in the disabled stall of each restroom. Health regulations require that all diaper changing and potty training be done in restrooms.

Additional Information


On weekdays, Kidspace welcomes school groups for field trips. If you desire a calmer, more peaceful experience for your infant or toddler’s visit to Kidspace, consider visiting in the afternoon between 1:30pm & 5:00pm during the school year.


Helmets for Trikes

Kidspace provides helmets for children who wish to ride a trike on our trike tracks. Helmets are disinfected daily. All trike riders must wear a helmet. Guests are welcome to bring their own helmets from home.



Dogs and other pets are not permitted inside Kidspace, with the exception of service dogs specially trained to assist disabled persons.



Kidspace is a large site with many physically interactive exhibits. Please keep track of your child, or children at all times.


First Aid

Please ask any floor staff should you need first aid assistance. First Aid assistance is also available in the main office building.


Lost and Found

Lost and Found is located in the Main Office.*


Stroller Parking

Please be advised that strollers are not allowed in our indoor exhibit areas. For your convenience, we provide a stroller parking area just outside of various indoor spaces.*



Lockers are located at the end of the administration building for storage of personal items during your visit. Locker tokens are $1 per one-time use.*


Unaccompanied Adults

Any adult who wishes to visit the museum without a child must pay admission and also leave a photo ID at admissions to receive a Visitor Badge to wear. This policy is in place for the safety of our guests. Please schedule museum tours ahead of time if you are a teacher, birthday party host, etc. at 626-449-9144 or info@kidspacemuseum.org.

Kidspace Children's Museum reserves the right to refuse admission, revoke membership, control occupancy, or eject any person whose behavior is deemed by management to be disorderly or fails to comply with the Guest Code of Conduct and Kidspace Policies.
